  • I think it's undeniable that he was the most brilliant psychologist, *up to his time* - Of course, some of his theories have been disproven by today, but some of them were well ahead of their time. Overall, he is extremely important for his contributions to the field of psychology, as well as the social sciences in general.
  • A bit of both. He did make a lot of contributions and stirred up interest, but he was proven wrong on various aspects and suffered from bias, and he claimed credit for some ideas that were ancient but he did do a lot wit them.
  • A genius. It's easy to judge and discard all of his ideas what with the advancements of society. Maybe he was not all correct. Nevertheless, Freud thought outside the box and inspired a psychological movement that dramatically affected the field. Maybe we don't all want to kill our moms to be with our dads, or vice versa, but I feel a true genius is courageous and intelligent enough to offer new information and inspire/ stimulate others to evolve in any given field.
  • Some of his theories were genius, others I'm a little skeptical about. I can't remember what i've read about it at the moment, but that's what I remember.
