HI,, the longer you wait to quit the harder it will be. I started at your age.. I am now 50,, I quit 4 days ago. And I am going nuts for wanting a smoke. But know it is harming my health. Doctor said to go cold turkey.. I had tried slowing down.. etc.. he was right just throw them out.. don't buy anymore.. do a quit with a friend. that helps. You don't want to be the first to start back up. I wish I had all the money I spent on cigarettes since I was 14!! I wonder how many thousands of dollars that would be? I have saved what $15 bucks in 4 days.. Jeez... Look it takes 72 hours for the nicotine to get out of your blood. The habit to smoke is harder to kick than the need for nicotine.. When you want a smoke, count to 20.. the urge will pass.. start reading everything you can about quitting.. about the chemicals in them.. like arsenic, lead, mercury, butane, god awful list of crap. I know if i sat here and told you the illness i have seen cigs cause you would not care.. somehow we all think this getting sick will not happen to us.. But smoke long enough and it will catch up with you.. BEst of luck,, do hope you Quit now.. Right now.. chew on straws.. that seems to help me.. and drink lots of ice water to flush out the nicotine..

You are a very smart person. You don't realize, but YOU ALREADY MADE THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP TOWARD QUITTING! Most people find excuses for smoking...you literally said that you want to quit! You were told to drink water to flush the nicotine out of your system. That is great advice! The reason that the addiction kicks is because the company adds deadly chemicals that create an addiction and also creates deadly diseases that affect your health, your looks, you hygiene and your pocketbook. There are programs available to help you quit.Contact your school health nurse and you school counselor. That's what they enjoy hearing. God bless you.
