My female cat runs for dear life after going to the bathroom as well and often times her poop goes uncovered. I think she does this to possibly get any litter off her paws. She zips out so fast, everytime without fail since she was a kitten.
Different cats are different. I've had a very meticulous cat who spent one might say an excessive amount of time covering her feces, and I've had a cat who got in the box only long enough to poop right against the edge and run out, and the rest of my cats have been in between those two extremes. You could try cleaning the box more often and providing more boxes (the suggested standard is to provide as many boxes as cats and to scoop them twice a day and clean them thoroughly as needed, so you should at least be doing that). It could just be a normal behaviour for that cat, though. If I were you, I'd watch the cat and make sure everything else seems okay (isn't giving any signs of pain, is eating and drinking and using the litter regularly, etc.). If the cat seems fine otherwise, bring this up to the vet. at the next regular check-up.

You're reading Does anyone have a cat that runs from the litter box after he/she defecates? My cat does not cover her feces and runs for dear life to avoid the odor? I'm really not sure because her sister does not do this.
