Unless the (m)asses in this country get a clue and start putting in 3rd party candidates this nation will slide further into socialism with no return back up the slope.

This is a good question! No, I am not politically minded, mostly because what I read or hear I do not understand. There is an entire vocabulary that I would have to learn in order to decode speeches and things. Also, I no longer vote, and some of it has to do with the fact that I DON'T understand what they are saying. The rest of it is because I am sick and tired of fake people pretending to care about America and its people. Most of them are heartless, vile people who will walk on the skulls of others to get ahead in life, and they HAVE done it already. I find them to be outright lairs, cheats, and immoral, without exception. Heaven help a person who comes in with ideas to help everyone (not just themselves), a moral compass and integrity. They'll be assassinated before the week is over.

I live in Britain, where 3 party politics has long been established, the trouble is.. they're all equally as inept and corrupt.

1-more than average. 2-i read a lot of books, internet, watch political news shows. 3-while i don't worry about my own awareness, there are a thousand different ways available to us that we could discriminate against others - you have to be literate, literate in English, you have to completed a college course in government or energy or astrophysics. depending on who draws the line and where, this could be scary! 4-i think we don't have an unbiased 3rd party distribute basic political information because they wouldn't be able to skim the cream off the top and make crooked politicians rich.

I am moderately well informed. I read the Financial Times and the New York Times about four days a week. I listen to National public Radio, and I watch the news on the BBC. Having said that, I do live in America, where we are embarrassingly deprived of international news. I do not think a third party is the solution to this problem, though. Nor do I think the ignorant should be deprived of a vote.

I am extremely well informed, partially because I am a political science major, but mostly because politics is my passion and has been for years. Furthermore, I also agree to a point that the uninformed and ill informed have no business within a mile of a voting booth. Many people fail to realize how dangerous ignorance and blind party loyalty are to our government. Lastly, there are several organizations which distribute basic political information, you just have to have the desire to want to see it. Some of the better ones are...
