no.it can harm your baby,

That just sounds wrong. During pregnancy you are suppose to gain weight, don't think the pills would balance anything out. Weight loss pills usually suppress your hunger so you don't eat. So if you took those and weren't eating your baby will probably not get the nutrition it needs and you will be exposing it to any of the chemicals found in the pill. If you don't want to gain tons of weight ask you doc. what exercises are acceptable and eat right. And remember most of your wight will be water wight not fat and diet pills can't do anything for water.

It is time for you to embrace your baby. Forget about diet pills. You are now responsible for a human life. Don't do ANYTHING that you even THINK might harm the baby.

You should not take ANYTHING (even over the counter antacids or herbal supplements) without your doctor or midwife's permission. That said, pregnancy is the one time in your life you are EXPECTED AND SUPPOSED TO gain weight. Your baby is not going to be able to live off your fat stores and thrive well - baby needs new calories, new minerals, new fats, new vitamins. If you starve your body (which is what diet pills do) you're starving your child. Also, if the product crosses the placenta, you can prevent the baby from gaining and using nutrients, which can seriously injure or kill it.

NO! No, no, no, no! MOST chemicals you put in your body transfer to the baby via your blood. If you're taking weight loss pills, you're putting your unborn child on a weight loss program when they need to be growing faster than any other time in their life. You'll kill your baby. You should tell you doctor about any medications you are taking, and you should NOT try to lose weight while pregnant. If you are particularly overweight you may not want to GAIN weight while pregnant either, but PLEASE wait until your baby is born.

umm effect the baby well killing it or making it grow up to have special needs thats all. you are pregnant dont think youll lose weight being pregnant. ..thats what being pregnant..is !!!

Why in the world would you want to take diet pills when you are pregnant? Ofcourse its bad for the baby, you shouldn't be taking ANY pills except what your Doctor tells you to take. And you shouldn't be 'dieting' while carrying your baby, you should be eating 3 balanced healthy meals a day, what you eat nourishes your baby, they need certain things (fats included) to develop correctly.

There is a good chance the baby would be physically and/or mentally impaired. It could also very possibly result in miscarraige. Healthy weight gain is vitally important to the development of the fetus. Any medication taken while pregnant should always be cleared by your doctor.
