  • Generally, NO. An employer has the right to treat employees differently so long as they do not do so because of a protected classification. Being someones significant other (or lack thereof) is not a protected class.
  • Why would you jump right to suing someone? Seriously, grow up. Life isn't fair, deal with it. If you have an issue with the way you are being treated by your manager (leaving his relationship with a coworker out of the situation) then you should take it up with HR. Otherwise, either learn to deal with it, or find another job. I'll just warn you, though, something will be "unfair" about pretty much every job you ever have.
