  • No, all nuclear weapons should be sanctioned and regulated. Unfortunately not all countries would follow any regulations
  • Do Vatican City or Monaco really need a nuclear reactor? Once we harness the energy safely then we shouldn't be allowed to have access to it.
  • nope but that doesn't stop all countries from trying
  • People should only use what they need in good faith
  • I kind of feel like no country should have the right to obliterate others.
  • For all intents and purposes, yes. Unfortunately, there are some very unstable countries ruled by tyrants who would use them on a whim and that would not be good for planet Earth.
  • Personally, I think all countries should do away with nuclear weapons, but I know that will never happen. There needs to be some sort of regulations, as there are some nutjobs that would just love to blow away everyone they don't like. I don't know why people have to keep coming up with new ways to kill others...
  • No. Places like Europe and America etc etc, or those in the UN security council or NATO, yes. Countries like Iran or Isreal who would just blow the crap out of each other, no. Only the big western nations have the right to nuclear weapons, because America just would not use them, as the reaction from the rest of NATO would be unbearable. E.G. If the population of a western nation rioted against the use of nukes, then it would be delt with peacfully and the nuks would not be used. If in say, Iran, the same thing happend, the rioters would be shot and the nukes used anyway.
  • ABSOLUTELY NOT. NO country should have ever been allowed to develop nuclear weapons, EVER. The mere fact of their existence and use is a very terrifying and poor reflection on the human race. The thing that scares me the most is that the US is currently the most outspoken nation concerning other developing countries acquiring nuclear weapon capabilities, when we are the ones who used nukes (for quite dubious reasons, IMO) against Japan.
  • Look at the facts. 1. The human race has developed nuclear power and in one case, a nuclear bomb was used in war time. Everyone knows this, remember: Pandora only comes out of the box! 2. Nuclear power is a safe and clean (when managed well) and its an alternative to dirty fuels. Why should industrialized countries have exclusive access to this technology? Well, according to the NPT they do! 3. According to the NPT, there are 5 "nuclear weapons states" and 3 more have conducted nuclear weapons experiments. There are dozens of countries willing to do anything in their power to steal, buy or trade for the secrets of the bomb. Poorly managed Nuclear proliferation is a problem. Thats why we should use the IAEA to give those counties the knowledge and to over see that it is used for its intended purpose. All countries should have nuclear weapons but should be regulated by the IAEA. If only few countries have these weapons, then the likely hood of them being used is HIGHER. Yes, folks! Now, with more countries in possession of nuclear weapons the likely hood of them using a weapons DROPS due to severe destruction from retaliation. Due your research. Its in the best interest to have more nuclear countries! Citizen for Nuclear Proliferation.
  • Its like cheating at a game. No, no country should store these cheap toys.
