  • It's not the bible that's in bad shape, it's the people that read it and misinterpret it that are in trouble! So keep reading it but don't quote it!
  • 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Bible is not like an a la carte menu, you cannot pick what you like and leave out parts. Just does not work that way.
  • Here are some sections of the Bible that Joseph Smith changed, according to LDS doctrine: http://scriptures.lds.org/jst/contents They can probably be considered "wrong" or at least "inaccurate" by most Mormons.

  • The Bible itself will give you a hint on what to avoid. Read Acts 7:58 to 8:3 to get a sense of Paul/Sauls background. He was terrorizing the people that Jesus had taught and may have even been responsible for the stoning of St. Stephen... who appears to be a very real saint. I mention this, because so many denominations get their "gospel" from Paul. (more info on this subject here: http://gospelenigma.com ) I'm not saying that everything that Paul said is wrong, but I would certinaly take his backgrount into account.
