  • His pro-war hawkish positions are nothing to celebrate. Both Major parties are in bed with the military industrial complex that make billions on war for war sake.
    • Archie Bunker
I think that he pretty much turned his back on the conservative ideals that he was supposed to uphold. I agree with the idea that both parties to to work together and that there has to be some give and take. But, I think he walked away from the ideals that got him elected.
  • Since when have you known anyone of inportance in the military, let alone what anyone in there thinks of ol' McCain?
    • Archie Bunker
Everyone in the military is of importance. Some are just more important that others, and I know many. And of those many, I know what most of them think about McCain, because we discuss it.
    • Linda Joy

  • Generalizations never cover all that are included. I used to like his ideas, what little I knew of them, but that was a long time ago. Honestly evaluating someone's comments is an ongoing thing. It doesn't have to stop because they die. People still speak of those that left great quotes and miserable records, but I don't see the purpose of disparaging the dead, either, especially on a personal level. But I am one veteran that doesn't "ADORE John McCain."
  • If I were in the military I would love to have a President who was Anti-war.
