Not a lot of money, but I have purchased lots of cheap CD's just to realize that I only like one or two songs. That's why I like Rhapsody a lot. You can sample each song and only buy the ones you really want for only .99 cents and download them in a few seconds. Looks like CD Stores will be disappearing a few years from now.

I blew about 50 bucks on a game once, though I was elated I could return it at gamestop and even use my store credit to buy another game, though it was more of a trade.

i research most music before i spend money on it because i don't have much money... never regret a purchase even when it is considered "stupid" by most... beer for example

Great question. Many times. Usually, however, I'd hear one song somewhere, like it, and buy the CD from which it comes from, but only to discover to my great disappointment that every other song on the CD sucks!! This happens even more so with DVD movies. The cover and summary on the back of the DVD looks interesting, but when I get it home and watch it, I think "GEEZ, what a waste of money that was!!"

More times then I can count, then had my whole collection stolen while it was in a friend's truck (borrowing it on a trip) Thankfully the internet put an end to all that sorrow for me :)
