Whatever their motivation, many people will still benefit from their actions. eta: my response was in no way meant to be dismissive of your question nor taking the higher ground :) - but just what seemed my overiding thought when I read your post.

I know Bono does care and helps most charities and checks it himself, yes he helps very much. I don't know about the other person. Regards.
