  • I don't consider those things sports. I consider them competitive events. But the reasons why sporting broadcast companies may consider them to be a "sport" is because the competitors need to practice to hone their skills (the ones shown are supposed to be among the best). Second, there is competition among the participants with no clear winner that has been predetermined. Finally, an organization was created for the events. It's usually that final requirement that determines whether something can be considered a sport or not although in the case of professional wrestling, it's the second requirement (about the outcome not having been fixed beforehand).
