All the time because: Someone may not see it and trip. The store employees work a pretty thankless job without having to clean up before stocking. As a librarian (retired) I just can't stand stuff out of order (LOL).
-
Pick it up and put it back because it would annoy me. I am a clean freak and it would just drive me nuts to leave it on the floor :)
-
Yes I do. Not only because my parents raised me to be neat and respectful, but also because I worked as a merchandise coordinator/manager for years in the retail business, and I know how hard people in retail work to keep things orderly and saleable. When customers are neglectful and disrespectful of merchandise, they make shopping into a terrible experience for others, and they also hurt themselves in the long run because dirtied and/or damaged items increase the cost for everyone.
-
Some of the time, to keep things neat. Same with shopping cart. I, however, am not perfect, so I don't do it every time.
-
I pick it up. it doesnt belong on the floor. i just put it up somewhere. a clerk can put it in the right place.
-
If it's just one or two things, I'll pick it up. If the store is a disaster area, then I won't bother (and I'll reconsider staying there).
-
I pick it up off the floor! I do have a rule about clothes and hangers, I will put it back on the hanger 2 times, if it falls off again, I just put it across the top, I'm shopping not applying for a job!!!!!!:)
-
Yes, because I think that people who just leave things for other people to clean up, when they make the mess, they are assholes. Retail people make like $7 an hour. It takes like 2 seconds to do it, I'm not lazy.
-
No, not when in Primark because it would take too long & I'd be picking stuff up off of the floor and putting back onto the shelves until the shop closed.
-
nope... cuz im to lazy
-
I will usually pick it up. If I'm on my way out the door with an unruly toddler I won't though. I already have my hands full!
-
yes. because i think its good karma >.<
-
Yes. I worked in retail a lot when I was younger. It is force of habit. I even put other people's shopping carts in the rack in the parking lot when they leave them out in the driving way. Why do people do that? "It's all about me"....No, sweetheart, it ain't!
-
I have done that before. Occasionally when I'm in the grocery store sometimes a piece of fruit or lettuce will mysteriously fall to the floor next to me and I'll pick it up.
-
Yep I do. I worked at Macy's for about a year and the habit still hasn't been forced out of me. Plus it's just polite...save the employees the trouble of picking up after the jackasses who knock stuff over and leave it :)
-
Depends on WHAT has fallen down.
-
no...im a bad shopper to be honest with you. 1 i feel that people are being paid to do that, y should i, but the main reason is im very bad at it...my wardrobe is a complete mess and tottally unarranged, so even if i tried to be helpful and considerate i would propably knock 10 more items on the floor and cause more work for the staff...
-
I"m the tidy sort and it doesn't matter to me if I did it or someone else. What difference does it make? It's not right to leave things lying around.
-
I leave it on the floor. Its someone's job to pick it up. I wouldnt want to take work away from someone who is there getting paid. I am a customer, I am not on the clock.
