  • there is an intricate design in all the universe. commonalities in design.
  • Ideally, this should be the goal of christians. When they use the bible to back up their beleifs, it doesnt help the person they are talking to, since they dont beleive in the bible anyway. We'll see what happends. ~+~ Good question
  • You pretty much need the Bible, but there is enough contemporary secular history that had no stake in Jesus' divinity that agrees with the Bible. So, I suppose you could get enough information if you really wanted to look for it.
  • Yes, I can.
  • Yes. They're my beliefs. No need to justify, explain, or apologize.
  • Yes, by my lifestyle.... Scripture quotes: "You shall know them by their fruits" Bible is not a fruit; it's the “source” of spiritual nutrients, which causes spiritual fruits to become visible in our lives. Like peace, joy, long suffering etc... Look for fruits, not just to those that hold the Bible alone...
  • Why would I? If my beliefs are based on the Bible, and I didn't use it to justify those beliefs, it wouldn't make much sense to justify them without it. So yes, I could, but no, I wouldn't. It's not ethical.
  • yes, and i did so for many years...just good morals and ethics...i was always told I was too nice, neive, forgiving, hardworking and giving..i was always glad I was that way, and I replied to alot that I'd rather be this way than the opposites.
  • I need to break your questions into three different groupings. 1) Health codes ( what to eat, when to bathe, distance of a latrine to a house, how to keep food, what foods to eat, etc) 2) Spiritual Laws (nature of God to man, man to God, man to man; nature of Man to the spirual world; nature of the spirit world) 3) Government Systems (social laws, interactions between people, 4) personal character (things which people don't see, and generally are very private) 5) History ( record of God's interaction and will, and consequences of behavior of the people, in respect to God's will for individuals, Social Systems, Social, spiritual Systems, Governments, healthcode) I can make defense of all of these outside of the Bible; Most of my defeneses for each of them except for Spirtual Laws; are easily defendable. For example, one wife and keeping the marriage bed pure; AIDS, HPV, HIV, trust, respect, and being able to have a healthy setting to raise a family. Want more discussion, respond and I will follow up.
  • I have read your questions and answers, you claim to be an Atheist thus I wish you to know that this Roman Catholic who is answering respects all Atheists. If you wish to make sure that what I am saying is true all you need to do is look up my answers on religion. Never the less I sincerely believe that no true Christian will ever justify his beliefs, there is no need for it. I know what my beliefs are and that is more than enough for me. I repeat I do respect all religions and beliefs, no exceptions made. Regards.
  • I have my own set of beliefs, and they are not governed by what some books tells me to be. I believe what I want, with disregard to what others think. I'm not going to let mainstream anything warp my mind. (Btw, you may not have guessed this, but I am not a Christian. Let the flames come, now! I'd been a Christian for 25 years. Taught to be so.)
  • Yes. Science, logic and common sense.
