  • Could be any number of things really. Is it just one CD? Did you drop the tower and the connections might have been shook loose? is it possible that the drive just failed? Is the drive recognized by the computer? Really, with such a vague description, do you really think we can help?
  • you could go into my comp and look click w/e drive it's in and click run if that doesn't maybe that disk wasn't made for your version. well at least that's what i do when it doens't work but i'm not a comp. genious so ya.....
  • Does it spin up when you put a disc in? Also they do sell cd/dvd lens cleanser discs. I use mine probably once a month or so to cleanse the laser lens.
  • the same thing happens to me. it's like it's just a blank C.D. or something. The game says it runs on Windows XP, which is what i have.
  • While your computer is starting up there should be a window that says press F2, F12, etc to enter BIOS. Enter the bios and see whether the cd drive is on...Be very careful that you dont mess around in the BIOS though, it really sucks when you do!
  • Well, first things first, Right click on my computer, click on manage, go to device manager, then click on DVD/CD-Rom drives. See if anything is there or if anything is giving you an error. If its not there, something might be disconnected or you have a dead drive. If it is there but giving an error, try re-installing the drivers AFTER you uninstall them. If all else fails, double check the disk and make sure your drive supports it. I.E. if its a DVD, make sure your drive supports DVDs.
