Does anyone else think that the Bible is a bit mean on Eve, because it seems to blame her for all the crappiness women get. That's a bit unfair, isn't it?

When the New Testament refers to this, most of the blame is put on Adam. She was deceived, but he knew what he was doing.

Because. She knew that she shouldn't eat the apple, but she was decieved. This is why women are still punished today. Adam knew what he was doing, but he did it anyway. Who knows.

The story of Adam and Eve tell us why things are the way they are. If you ask yourself, "why does it hurt when women have children?," or "why do women seem to be afraid of snakes?" This story answers questions like those. If you reread Genesis, you will notice that both Adam and Eve were there when the serpent began speaking to Eve. Yahweh had told Adam that the fruit was poison (they would surely die) and he stands there and watches his wife eat it. Now Paul mentions in the New Testament that sin came into the world through one person, Adam (and redemption comes from one person, Jesus). Later, in 1 Corinthians 14 he says women should be silent because Eve was deceived. We could unpack this a little, but scholars do not even agree that this verse was originally there. Some early manuscripts don't have it, and some have it in a different place in the text. The Bible, in reality does not talk a lot about Eve. Paul seems to have a higher view of women (if you discount the variation I mentioned earlier). He refers to several women deacons and even names a woman as a fellow apostle. What you are having a problem with is biblical interpretation. You can thank people like St. Augustine, who really crammed the doctrine of female inferiority down our collective throats. I suggest you read some feminist theologians to get a better picture the role of women and the Bible.

Even though Eve was the instigator, it also tells that nothing changed until Adam ate from the apple.

Adam was ultimately responsible for everything including Eve. God did not make woman to be responsible like we are now we were not created equally.

But then God made man to be everything he needed to be to take care of woman and the earth, he was perfect. Man was suppose to protect, care and make decisions for himself and family. People were suppose to live with only their baser needs. Take from the earth to survive and to give back to the earth.

Because of original sin these things changed. As the year go by woman have more and more had to step up to the plate be as strong as men (mentally actually stronger in some cases) men are no longer perfect, and neither are women so it makes things harder on us because we are still considered the lesser sex.

God did not intend for things to be as the world is today. Women were suppose to bring comfort, happiness and fulfillment to a mans life. She would be mother to his children love and nurture everything around her. Her soul purpose was to love and make a happy home. In return God said man to was to love woman as he would himself, with the guidance of God himself.

Very few men today and for years have been able to be even close to what God created man to be, and woman have had to fight to be equal due to the injustice and to survive.

Women were not suppose to be single mothers, divorcees, head of their household, and to think like a man in general. We were created to be the gentler sex. I think that is one of our problems today.

We are still the gentler sex, in a greedy and demanding world.

Please note I have tried very hard not to sound like I am insulting men. Please also understand men are no longer being raised to be what God created men to be… It is not their fault. In this world today it is close to impossible for men and women to live by the bible with out 2 incomes today and with out criticism . This world evolves around money we no longer take what we need from the earth, big business does that and we pay for it.

I could go on and on but I hope you got the point.

Also anyone who reads this that does not believe in God, the bible and Adam and Eve please do not rate my answer unfairly. No one has a right to rate me if they themselves will not answer this question and be rated themselves.

Michelangelo must have had some idea of Lilith in mind, to have painted the snake with a human female torso

God judged the whole world because of mans sin.We die, cause of adams sin.For one mans sin, death entered into the world.I would say Adam got the worst end of it.
