Yes. I have a AM/FM HD Radio and my local talk stations have never sounded better.

HD radio on FM sounds crisper, fuller and cleaner, but has slight compression artifacts, a bit like a midgrade, 160-kbps CBR MP3, not enough to sound great, but not bad enough to sound tinny and flat. It does fall short of the "CD-quality" of the HD Radio ads.

HD radio on AM sound great, it sounds crisp and clear like FM radio and the interference distortion and weak reception have all seemed to decrease. I pull in stations that sound bad on analog AM, but sound perfect in Digital AM. There are no noticeable compression artifacts because the nature of amplitude modualtion filters them out through reflection and refraction.

I think that fro AM radio, HD Radio is worth the money. For FM Radio, HD Radio is just a fancy "bell-and-whistle" of subchannels, while much appreciated, I can live without.
