  • I would say that a good one parent family is better than a two bad parent family. However a good two parent family with a mother and a father who love and respect each other and their children trumps both of the other two situations.
  • This is an excellent question. and, after due thought and past experiences with both, i believe there should always be a two-parent family, whether its good or bad. a single parent, as hard as they might attempt to make it work, just does not have the stamina to cope as a male and female family leader. the children need guidance and supervision from both parents. i have seen excellent children, become outstanding leaders, from bad parents. A single parent lacks the time and control over their children. there is no one there, after school, to make sure the children come home, stay out of trouble and do their homework. a single parent cannot work, pay all her paycheck to a babysitter, clean house, cook and be a leader for their children. some single parents are so stressed, they turn to drugs and alcohol for relief. this further escalates the whole family problem. There are, of course, exceptions to every situation. some single parents have what it takes to take charge and raise their children. the vast majority cannot. But, overall, the bad parents concept seems to win in the end. many parents have separated, but have re-united, for the sake of their children.
