  • It doesn't matter if it is a good or bad reason. What matters is whether you notified your employer in advance and that there were no immediate fires to put out at work.
  • That would depend on a lot of factors! If they have young children in the home, how cold it is out, if anyone else could wait, if they get someone to switch shifts with them, is gas involved, can it be rescheduled, etc. It shouldn't be that difficult to manage Plus what Joe said!
