  • Going postal, it happens everyday.
  • Yeah...but put glad wrap under the toilet seat and watch your day brighten
  • I actually recieved a bloody thumb print on a paper I passed out to my team in retaliation of what I was trying to achieve. I knew the woman who did it and she was always having this secret race against me for some weird reason. Needless to say, I quit.
  • I used to, but I eventually came to realize that all those negative emotions just weren't worthwhile. Nothing we were doing was so critical to society that it was worth being stressed over, so I changed jobs. I'm in a much better environment now and am far happier!
  • Aren't coworkers so irritating? If I could be my own boss, I would, but I'd have trouble bossing people around. Only thing I'm not looking forward to when I get a new job... the assholes who think they know everything.
  • I'M WITH YOU! I have just started to understand that I am a lawyer only because I fantasized about being one at the age of 14! I AM NOT A 14 YEAR OLD ANYMORE, YET I AM STUCK IN THE DREAM OF A 14 YEAR OLD! At 14 I though lady lawyers were powerful, rich, etc., etc. As an adult, the stress of being one out-weighs all of the benefits, but I'm in a rut and it is the only way I know how to make a living and...I'm stuck and depressed about it.
  • Consider it a compliment. Worry when people don't hate on you ! People can be so jealous and if you look closely at the negative ones green glob is oozing out of their mouths. Try to focus on being the best you can be and don't waste your energy feeding their hungry souls. Obviously you're doing something right otherwise they wouldn't be jealous of you. so keep smiling :) as you move up the ladder and they continue to pull eachother down .
  • The best way to deal with a grumpy co-worker is to blow them a kiss. They usually leave you alone after that.
  • i might be the co worker you cant stand. i work with idiots who have no common sense, so i complain alot. i try and show people how to provide good customer service, but they dont want to learn. consumers have questions they have no answers and wont try and find answers to help. i wouldnt be so negative if the people i worked with were more positive. before i start complaining i offer my help or give suggestions, and when that does not work, you will find me in the managers office with the door open talking shit. if that does not work, you will then find me at my desk providing excellent customer service and in between customers you will hear me talking shit about the daily office idiot. HOW ABOUT THAT.
  • I hear ya, sister...
  • No you are not the only one. That is why I do everything in my power to when I can, work for myself and by myself because the playground/schoolyard rules dont seem to ever go away with age, they get worse and transfer into the workplace with adult drama that I feel is not worth a paycheck sometimes... Some people learn to thrive on it and it simply destroys others and they know it. People that are not heirarchial minded, dont usually fair well in a situation like that. Unfortuately, the world makes little to no compensation for us. So we get lost in the office pool shuffle. I hung a sign over my cubicle that they actually made me take down. It said. "Noli Nothis Permittere te terrere." It reads; "Don't let the bastards get you down." When I asked why I had to take it down, they said because it was inappropriate. I thought the opposite...
  • Yeah, it also bugs me so much when I have to concentrate on some involved task and these people around me incessantly and annoyingly keep clearing their throats or talk really loudly!
  • No, I don't have this problem. My company does not hire people like that, and it fires anyone who becomes like that. It's a great place to work in that regard. But I know what you're talking about -- that kind of nattering makes work very challenging. You should point the finger upstairs: it's up to the company management to set the tone, provide the leadership, and hire good people.
