I listened to the Jackson 5's "The Love You Save," and I really liked it. However, there are some lyrics I don't understand. What does "the love you save may be your own" mean? What does "look both ways before you cross" mean

stop ! the love you save may be your own, means dont be selfish, share it with the one who loves you b cause keeping it to yourself and not expressing it to your love one may cause what the song says, OR SOME DAY YOU'LL BE ALL ALONE. look both ways b4 you cross the street means, focus on whats coming at you in both directions. while looking down the street could cause more harm than looking up the street. these r just my interpretations, some one else may have another or maybe a better one.
