  • I guess it would depend what you mean by violating, and to what degree! Also, what is the dire emergency?? I don't like to be violated in any respect!
  • Only if its not in someone else's expense.
  • Morals are a set of rules you set yourself to live by, rules are there to be broken. If the situation was dire enough then 'almost' anything would be allowed.
  • "Thou shalt not kill"--but if he's coming at me or my family and I have a gun--I shalt kill!
  • It depends upon the situation. Is the dire situation more important than my personal morals and, by sticking to my personal morals, am I going to cause a great deal of damage? Yes, to prevent such dire circumstances, I would allow actions that violate my morals or even violate them myself. I may, or may not, feel pain from having done so depending upon the circumstances and the damage I staved off by violating my morals.
  • Not only in dire situations, but even in moderately serious situations. If the happiness or relief the other person gets is two times the sorrow or pain that I get, I will be willing to allow it. Personal feelings are more valuable for me than morals. When else will I get an oppportunity to show how valuable the other person is to me?
