  • Loss doesn't deepen anything let alone your relationship with life. Most people, having suffered a recent loss think life is shit when it comes to things like this. Loss is something we endure, it does not happen to make room for new things, it happens because bad things happen sometimes. Given the choice, most people would opt not to have to endure loss. Loss makes you miserable and we want it over with as soon as possible.

  • Death closes the book on a relationship. Other losses, such as a job, end a chapter.
  • My dad died suddenly in 2017, and as of 2020, I don't feel that it has led to anything positive in my life at all. Maybe ask me again in another three years.
