A friend/pastor who ministers to prisoners said Muslims have taken over all areas of prison and control comsry, lndry, food, jobs, etc. They refuse/make dffclt for Christians to the point that it is unbearable. More are convertng to Muslim. Thoughts?

My husband has worked in corrections for almost 10 years, 7 in the military and 2 1/2 in civilian. I'm not sure this questions is correct. True Muslims are a kind peaceful religion. It's the radicals like we are fighting in Iraq that cause all the problems. I think what's going wrong in the prison religion is that these men are trying to grasp straws for a higher power and not letting go of the convict lifestyle. I'm not sure if it is the Muslims or just prison way of survival. Christians have always been persecuted, now is no different.

- Actually a former roommate of my hubby's is a guard at the same prison. We stay in touch from time to time and he confirmed that Muslims are in charge of the commisary, the laundry, and work release and work inside the jail. He said he sees every day how they harrass and many times ignore requests made by those who have chosen Christianity. He said that the only way the inmates can survive is to convert to the Muslim faith. Church service attendance has dropped by 75% over the last 6 months.
