  • No, it's not just you. Layering anxiety on top of not knowing something makes it harder to focus. If your adrenaline kicks in as part of your fight-or-flight mechanism, your body responds in a variety of ways. That doesn't always lend itself to learning because your body perceives a threat and is telling you to react to it. But if you control your breathing and coach yourself a little bit, you can often get on top of it.
