The rising gas prices make me want to drive my car less so the car spends more time in my garage. My car is 9 years old and I intend to keep it until it no longer runs. I prefer to drive on secondary roads at lower speeds because this will save gas. I intend to vote for the candidate who will not raise taxes on gasoline.

I only drive when absolutely necessary, when I do go somewhere I try to combine several trips into 1. I walk more, Ride my bicycle more and my motorcycle. I carpool to work. I personally think it should be mandatory for all vehicles made in 2010 to get a min 45 mpg on standard gas/diesel and don't tell me it can't be done. Look at the VW Rabbit, the Chevy chevet, Ford Taurus diesel, and the GEO Metro, all of which got 45+ MPG back in the 1980's and early 90's.

We don't have public transportation where I live or I'd be using that. I may ride my bicycle more.

Doesn't affect me a WHOLE lot -- I take the Metro to work, and only drive on the weekends.
