I think it's possible in extreme cases, but generally speaking, I have no trouble understanding them. While there are some people who clearly are not trying to use proper spelling and grammar, there are others who simply aren't perfect at it. :)

Sure..I've seen questions I couldn't really tell what they were asking.

Mostly, they convey that they are not very smart, and could less. Sometimes I can't even tell what the poster is saying because the spelling & grammer are so bad.

Definitely. If someone tries to spell that is one thing. Someone who posts an entire question using "text message" language ( Ur, nuf, Bcuz, etc) makes themselves look stupid every time.
