I couldn't, but my husband and his family are from Boston and they manage to go ages without using the letter "R" in speech :o)

No. There's an r in my first and last name (twice in the last!), and also in my work title, and name of my city, etc... I couldn't do ANYTHING at work without that letter!

Yes, but not without it in my thoughts. I will take my synonyms book with me to my job the day following today and not use that consonant all day. What do you think? You dig what I've said, yes? I could add many lines like this but I think it has been played out now. It kind of slows down my speech/typing too. :-)
