On healthcare...for everybody.

I would like to see more social services for the elderly. . .people worry so much about child welfare, but not so much about the well being of the elderly. Health care. My mom has cancer. She has worked for the same company for almost 40 years and she would love to retire. Instead, she took a demotion to work reduced hours so she can get better AND keep her health insurance affordable. Sad. I really want to see some serious money spent on caring for war Vets. The current situation is appalling. I had 3 Uncles that served in Vietnam. . .one is a drug addict, the other finally cleaned up after the local VA Hospital got off its duff, and the other put a bullet in his chest when I was 8 (he could not "wait" for the VA). Let's not make the same mistake.
