I'd say that "greed" is mankind's most significan flaw which might lead to its demise.

It's hard to pick one - I think it would be jealousy, envy, or greed.
-
Self-survival and opportunism. I think many (if not most) persons will do what it takes to ensure their own survival (if only for a few minutes more) at the expense of others including humankind in general.

I would say the downfall of mankind will be it's inability to take responsibility of one's own actions. People are starving, facing poverty and war in far too many places and we refuse to accept that we can stop it. Whether we are waiting on some idol or deity to save us, we seem incapable of acting towards salvation unless there is a tangible danger present to the individual.

Fear is my addition to the irresponsibility that others have noted. I think many people entertain the idea of revamping our government (I'm talking USA now), but we can't get together as one enormous mass without fearing that our now-fascist government will suppress us in any number of ways. A government without bounds, a media that is ridiculous, money being lost, stolen, spent, and funneled here and there; there seems to be no end to the government's greed and power. I've watched countless videos and heard countless dialogues about how we should get together to make things right, but who's gonna pay for it? Who's gonna protect us? The people? The media has shown time and again how easily they can spin public opinion. He's unpatriotic, he's a terrorist, he's this or that. And significant numbers believe it. I'm a pessimist. Maybe that's part of the problem too.

I would say arrogence. We think we are better than the rest of nature, and that we know best how to take care of it. We think the lines we draw on a map mean more than the lines someone else draws on it. We think we have more of a right to live than another human.
-
Over indulgence, lack of empathy and communication, short-sightedness
-
Immorality and the acceptance of "laws" that go against the natural law of things which ultimately make those "laws" not genuine. When we become the victim of too many non-genuine laws, which we have already, mankind is near the end.

Our lack of ability to make good cold medicine when we need it. Sometimes Nyquil just doesn't cut it... ;) JK Our intolerance of one another or greed. Those are my top choices...
