  • F__ off! (Oh...you said tactful. My bad.)
  • I don't have class, I'd tell them they're full of shit
  • i've recently had to go through the same problem - i was blamed for something that wasn't my fault by the person whos fault it was! i completly just embaressed them by calmly saying how she was wrong and it was her fault. the best way to deal with these people is to be calm and collected while talking to them, but making it blatently obvious you are not interested in what they are saying. "oh right...." "mmmhh" and replies like that are best.
  • I have the exact same problem with a good friend who just doesnt take hints. I have tried the obvious "I DONT CARE!!!" responses, but that doesn't seem to register. Even telling them right there that they need to stop lying sometimes works and they drop the habit for a little while, but they end up doing it again sooner than you would have liked. The problem is telling them that you can see through their lies, but you have to tell them right up in their face. The best way I have come up with is to calmly say things like "I find that kind of hard to believe...", or "That's cool and all, but I know you and you don't have to make up stories to impress me or anyone else, really." Usually that makes them feel special for some reason.
