I think television has done very little in developing my imagination. I can remember a time when very few people had a TV and we had to listen to the radio shows with no pictures. Now that was exercising one's imagination: visualizing every thing that you heard in your mind's eye. I also think that television does all the thinking for us by vividly picturing everything for us; it's message is a form of massage.
