  • Well, the Christian God could not be Gay, nor do I believe the God of Jews nor Muslims could be Gay. However, I tend to think ANY (singular) God would be asexual. He has to love all creatures great and small and good and bad. God doesn't need the sexual aspects nor romantic love. He is "above" all that :o)
  • It would be impossible because he isn't human. We simply portray him as masculine because it is easier for us to understand. God is neither male or female, heterosexual or homosexual. He simply is.
  • PMSL. Oh please, A gay black woman, that would make my day :-) note to trolls... Please press the (-) button on the right.
  • Then gays would all be homophobic.
  • Who's going to question God about anything. I know I won't.
  • Fabulous! Then "he'd" be god-u-licious! With two snaps up and a halo..:)
  • He is, and apparently His followers are in terrible, terrible denial.
  • Things would be exactly the same. If any god was gay, and he told you not to be gay and you believed what he said was the inherent truth then nothing would be different at all. There would just be alot more people playing god out there. (joke)
  • guys would have babies
  • Indeed. And what if God is not gay? Does it matter? One could argue that God is bisexual since he loves all his children equally.
  • Greatest irony ever.
  • It is my firm opinion that God is Gay. And Bi, And Straight, And Black and White, and Yellow and A man and a woman and old and young and...and... and... Consider that there are 6.5 billion people (more or less) in the world. God is like each and every one of them - and like the billions who have gone on before us and like the billions (trillions - the uncountable?) who are yet to come. If there is alien life out there, then God is like that too. God is All. Men - not God - have a limited tolerance of diversity. Everything in creation SCREAMS that God loves diversity. Everything is unique - there are no two "same" of anything. Each and every star is different - has its unique signature. Each and every snow flake is different -unique - all composed of the same thing, yet infinitely diverse and individual. Man likes uniformity, Man decries diversity, Man forces others to "fit" into narrow files and rows. Man (NOT GOD) can not wrap their minds around the beauty and importance of IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations). God is Omni - that means HE/SHE/IT/THEY Is/am/are _________ (fill in the blank).
  • Then the world would be a lot more faaabulous. Thank you for the question. Seriously, I don't think god has an orientation nor even a gender. God is above all that.
  • OMG, thank you, thank you, for being a person who knows when to use the subjunctive, and not putting "What if God WAS gay?" (Shudder) I like to think God that is all things, so he/she/it could certainly be gay, straight, bi, and transgender - all at the same time. After all, this would allow all humans, with our diversity, to be created in "God's image," wouldn't it? :o)
  • She is of course.
  • would it make any difference? Not to me:)
  • wow im suprised this question got so many points...
  • if god were gay...god would be a homo lol
  • ... then all of the people who bash Gays in His name are in deep doo doo.
  • well that would be his business and I would never pass any judgement on it ... not my place to do so
  • Luckily, belief has nothing to do with reality. We can believe that the moon is made of cheese but that has nothing to do with it's real nature. Reality is as it is. Our choosing to believe something is simply telling ourselves stories to try and explain reality or, more often, to hide from it. The view that somehow things have to conform to what we believe is at best childish. Reality, God, whatever you want to call it, cannot be contained in concepts, no matter how exalted those concepts might be. Of God for example, the great 13th Century Christian mystic Meister Eckhart said, "God is nameless, for no man can either say or understand aught about Him. If I say, God is good, it is not true; nay more; I am good, God is not good. I may even say, I am better than God; for whatever is good, may become better, and whatever may become better, may become best. Now God is not good, for He cannot become better. And if He cannot become better, He cannot become best, for these three things, good, better, and best, are far from God, since He is above all. If I also say, God is wise, it is not true; I am wiser than He. If I also say, God is a Being, it is not true; He is transcendent Being and superessential Nothingness. Concerning this St Augustine says: the best thing that man can say about God is to be able to be silent about Him, from the wisdom of his inner judgement. Therefore be silent and prate not about God, for whenever thou dost prate about God, thou liest, and committest sin. If thou wilt be without sin, prate not about God. Thou canst understand nought about God, for He is above all understanding. A master saith: If I had a God whom I could understand, I would never hold Him to be God."
  • It would go some way to explaining the need for a virgin birth.
  • He'd be persecuting hetrosexuals and women instead of gays and women.
  • I wouldn't turn gay to please him.
  • It would explain the rainbows after a storm.
  • And I understood that and you have been answered and suitably refuted with appropriate despatch Daley. Thank you.
  • He'd have a hell of a time tryin' to get married, that's for sure.
  • Well i hear it is genetic...
  • Are we so sure God isn't? Maybe I just can't accept that God actually is a heterosexual, white male like most of the people in charge of 'interpreting' the Bible and spreading the Word to us Heathens. How can us humans really be so damned sure?
  • here's the new me!
  • Wow you have just angered about 100 million people in this world with that statement. GOOD JOB XD
  • God created and loves us all, and I would assume He is asexual (or at least bisexual).
  • Well, for one thing, there'd be a bunch of hypocritical bigots I know questioning their belief system.
  • There would be a large dose of confusion for the bigots. Fred Phelps would have apoplexy. And the world would still turn as it does now.
  • He is bi religious
  • I thought she was
  • What if God was one of us? oh no i got that song stuck in my head now...'sigh'
  • Whoa, hold up, he isn't?
  • Eve would've felt left out eh
  • What a stupid question!
  • Happy Friday to you Too.
  • wow then that would explain alot:) j/k
  • ahh! no wonder he made adam first! :) although, is God even a male?
  • well duh he doesn't have a sexuality, he's not even hetro-sexual, because how could he find one of his creations attractive in a romantic way??? It's like a Father wanting to have his son as his boyfriend....
  • Hahaha!!!! Wouldn't THAT stir things up! That would be awesome!
  • Here's an even more important question: gay or straight, who are God's parents and do they accept him for who he is? Hell, does God even HAVE parents? And if so, does he/she/it have siblings? And is there sibling rivalry--"HA! I created the Heavens and Earth--what did you lazy bums do?" For which sibling number 1 says, "I created the internet." and sibling number 2 says, "I created Microsoft but Bill Gates stole it..."
  • Everything that is based around God would be undone. The bible would no longer be read and most who believe in him would surely go crazy. Questioning their true reasoning for being here, since God is suppose to be that reason. It is a sin to be gay if I am not correct, so I guess this is now re written over top of. God is gay so is he not a sinner himself. Hmmmm? I am glad I am Buddhist.
  • I'd say a hole lot of homophobic people would be going straight to hell.
  • That is impossible. He detests homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
  • Who says he's not? Maybe he is. Maybe he's bi. Maybe he's a she. Maybe he's an it. God could be anything and everything. And god takes on many different forms believed by many different people in the world.
  • Why are you interested in what gets God's dick hard?
  • I don't think so, because if he was, the sky would look pink instead of blue. (stupid answer, not to be taken seriously)
  • then we would be hemaphroditic.
  • god is nothing. he's not male, not female, not gay, not straight. god is god
