Not really. Truth telling is not necessarily the most effective trait in a politician. Remember the movie Liar, Liar?

Yes. I also agree in the M-40 method of taking care of politicians such as Cheney and Bush who are so corrupt that they cost the lives of citizens of either the US or other countries. M-40 method in action:

actually lie detector tests are still so inexact that they aren't even admitted in court. in answer to your question, i would have to say no
-
What questions would be asked of them? I'm not sure what the point of the test would be. Just because someone answers the questions on the test honestly, it won't necessarily follow that they won't lie to the public about other things.

If that happens then seems like we wouldn't find anyone to fill any of the positions.

You can administer a voice stress test from any recorded audio of anyone at any time! Be my guest and tell us each time whether they were lying or not, as if we don't already know the answer! What interesting is that you can do this for people that are gone and passed on yet you can still discover the truth obout them!

yes they so should, god I could be up for a politician if that happened...it would stop all the papers writing over exaggerated info and maybe we would trust them a lil more....big brother is watching...they are probably monitor'n this conversation right now....Britain is over run with identity now even the legit people are under scrutiny!!! sorry went on a tangent xx

no.. lie detector tests have been proven to be less than 100% acurate and sociopaths can pass with ease.. do you really want these kind of people in office?? i mean isn't it bad enough as it is?
