  • I guess it depends on the moment! But, I have always found music comforting. the last time i was upset, i turned on an upbeat song and sang at the top of my lungs. (Mr. Brightside by The Killers) The third time through or so, i felt better. maybe it's not the deepest answer in the world, but sometimes it's the little things that help!
  • I put things in perspective. Some would ague that this is an oversimplified approach, but I can assure you it helps. I have had my share of rough patches, h**l, I could be an expert in them at this point. The other thing that helps is to think back to the last time you hit a rough patch. Nine times out of ten you will realize that it wasn't the end of the world after all. So, this patch won't be either. If all else fails, I grab some Ben & Jerrys and wallow in my own self pity until I realize what a waste of time it is. . .and then smile and polish of the last bit of B&Js and get on with my life. :) Hope this helps.
