  • Multi-tasking: Men just can't do it: Women get the job done faster, efficiently and without any drama. Ask a man the same three things and he needs 20 minutes to have a panic attack, followed by an hour telling everyone what he has to do and how little time he has to do it in, and then he fails to get any of it done because the deadline has passed. http://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/carmel-harrison/Multitasking-Men-just-can39t-do.3445185.jp They didn’t know that women had a thicker corpus callosum. In other words, women can engage in limited multi-tasking with fewer of the serious and debilitating side effects that occur in more vulnerable men. http://www.slowdownnow.org/Main/Women-and-multitasking.html “I challenge any man to talk on the phone, send a fax, reply to an email, change a diaper, get a toddler a snack, monitor what your school-aged children are watching on TV and add to the grocery list — all at the same time,” says one mother who runs a home-based business. http://blogs.wsj.com/juggle/2007/07/24/are-women-better-multi-taskers/ Why women are wired to do everything at once Why are women better at multitasking than men? If the answer's in our genes, we might be able to treat attention deficit disorders. Scientists have found a gene involved in switching our attention. It seems that some of us – men in particular – probably haven't got an efficient version of this gene, and so languish in indecision and lack of concentration. http://web.mit.edu/ekmiller/Public/www/ekm/Independent_4-22-02.htm
  • There was a study done a few years ago that shows that women are great multi-taskers. with some exceptions, men don't even have the ability to do it.
  • women, studies show men are not multi taskers at all
  • woman definitely, but then im measuring against myself and my brain is no fine specimen at that.lol.but seriously woman for sure.
  • My oppinion probably doesn't matter but I really don't think it has anything to do with gender... I think it relies more on the person... I am completely horrible at multitasking but I have female friends that are always doing it... I have met guys the same... some are good at it and others aren't...
  • As mentioned in my comment to Juju's answer, their is no correlation between sex and efficiency at multitasking. Anyway, most studies prove that multitasking is actually less efficient in humans, as it results in context switching (confusion of minor details) and more errors than focusing on a single task. One of the more recent studies from Stanford University (conducted this year) proves this along with deterring the idea that either of the sexes if more proficient at multitasking. The phrase of human "multitasking" wasn't even coined until computers were invented, which are devices that clearly excel at multitasking.
  • Hmmm... I guess I'll have to remember that the lady in front of me on the highway... Yeah, the one weaving over the lines while yacking on her cell phone. Yup, her... She's just execising one of her strengths.... Pfff...
  • It is scientifically proven that they are; Psychologists would explain that women have a better "Corpus Collossum"--the part of the brain responsible for helping us multi-task.
