played WoW for a while... not gonna say how long cuz its embarassing... i got addicted for the same reason i like ab... it forces me to use skill to gain points, while allowing me to communicate with ppl from around the globe... its a sense of community with its own language and economy of sorts...

I play an MMO, but I can quit anytime I want... But they're addicting because - at least for me - they've got an interesting social network. The game I play, EVE, is a very strategy-dependent game and is truly multiplayer. Also, there is no 'restart' button so you're stuck with your choices. It's quite cool, I highly suggest people check it out.
