It's no big deal...a lot of people have a problem if you say anything at all about Jesus or God.

Probably for the sane sorts of reasons that some people have a problem with just about everything which covers relgion, environmental persecution of the public en-masse and of course, Health & Safety. And then of course, there are lifes poor victims and martyrs and they just love to moan. Next time you meet one who moans about this to you, deliver the following line and then leave the room: If you want to moan, go in a room and moan on your own. Works every time.

Jesus said 'no man comes to the FATHER except through HIM' , this is where they put 'in CHRIST name we pray'. When Christ gave the Apostles an example , the LORD'S PRAYER, HE did not say this. The reason JESUS said what HE did and the reason people say this is because 'if you do not believe in the SON, you do not believe in the FATHER, you have to accept HIS SON. When you are baptized , you are baptized in the name of the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. You don't have to go through JESUS I don't guess, just believe HE is who GOD said HE was. WORSHIP the FATHER, HONOR the SON.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." You can pray directly to God or you can pray to Jesus, either way, Jesus is still the mediator between God and man. He is after all, the only begotten Son of the living God.

It really should not matter what people say, but what Jesus said should have a bearing on the matter. John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" 1Tim 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Tim2:5-6;John14:6;John14:14-16;John17:1-3;&version=49;15;9;16;77; Sorry for this addition, as I was in a hurry this morning. A few more scriptures that seem to imply that according to the Bible, that Jesus is the mediator between God and man. Mt 11:27; Eph 2:18; Rom 5:1-2; Heb 12:24; 9:15 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=mat11:27;eph2:18;romans5:1-2;heb12:24;heb9:15;&version=49;51;9;16;77; Although no inspired writer wrote word for word what other writers wrote, they all seem to be in harmony with each other. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts4:12;Rom8:34;1Pet3:18;%20Heb7:22-25;&version=49;51;9;16;77; I personally have no problem with someone not praying through Jesus name or even if they pray at all, as that would be judging. I do believe that the Bible shows we should approach God through Jesus though.

I don't have a particular problem with that. I think you're all equally stupid and ridiculous for begging to things that don't exist

Like so many issues of contention in the NT this comes down to the differences between the 3 synoptic gospels and the gospel of John. More specifically that John was the last of the gospels to be written and as it was the farthest away from the events it describes, logically you would expect it to be the least accurate of the four. The gospels themselves seem to support this with John varying significantly from the three earlier synoptics. . You would therefore expect Christian belief and Church doctrine to be shaped less by John than by the other three but in fact, you find that the opposite is the case, with a disproportionate amount coming from John. . The debate about whether John shaped early Christianity or was more like a reflection of it, is a long one and probably not for this question but the fact remains that statements like "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" only appear in John. Three out of the four gospels don't include this kind of statement so the Bible is by no means as clear cut as most of the Christians that quote it so readilly and with such absolute certainty, seem to think. . Imagine you have four accounts of something and only the one that you would expect to be the least reliable of the four mentions what you know would be considered to be an important event or statement by all four authors. In pretty much any context that you can think of you would be unlikely to accept the one over the other three. It's an oddity of Christian belief though that in every single instance where this happens, the one (usually John) is taken to be true and added to what the other three say. So you end up with a bit of an absurd situation where you have four gospels that are all supposed to be true and accurate accounts of events, yet none of the four actually includes all the events that Christians believe happened. This seems strange to me. . Praying to, or through, Jesus is not advocated by the vast majority of the Bible so unless anybody can come up with some good reasons why the minority position (textually) should take precedence, I would say go directly to the top, don't go through an intermediary.

one mediator ,Jesus ,is telling, u cannot get to God(Jesus) except by ACCEPTING the mediator,HIS SON...otherwise,u cannot reach HIM..because u do not believe HE is the only SAVIOR which God said of HIMSELF=1 savior,1 god, 1 mediator =HIM....for me yes ,all 3 are equal all 3 are God..3 is 'divine perfection'..Justme:) they just realize u have yet to come to the true understanding, God was Jesus and Jesus was God and the Holy Spirit is simply the POWER of God= to do what HE wants and to send HIS help and comfort where and to whom HE chooses...by HIS GRACE..:)justme don't stress about it....i was not of this understanding for most of my life..it was not important i felt..i saw them as 3 separate beings...and all of a sudden ,out of the blue, it was just there, while i was studying diligently, which i do on my own alot, that was God,HIS HS, cause HE knew I trully wanted to understand...i can't tell u it doesn't matter cause it does, but if u want to know ,u will make the effort to ....

Jesus would be here with out God because they are the same person they are the trinity. Father (God), Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit There is no way to pray directly to God or Jesus in particular because they are the same person.
