  • Ginger root has been used extensively for thousands of years in China as a condiment and as a medicine for tummy ache. Raw ginger can be purchased at your area supermarkets or oriental food stores. I never tried ginger root capsules, but I have consumed a fair amount of raw ginger without any harmful effects. Freshly grated ginger root in soybean oil or sesame oil make for great dips for chicken breast meat. I don't see any harm in taking more than 2 ginger root capsules a day, but I think raw ginger is far more effective in treating your tummy ache than refined ginger extracts. Why take capsules when you can have the real thing.
