Why is it, that these days people seem so ready to blame someone else for their decisions? People seem to be whining about their own choices more and more. ( "I ate fast food everyday for a month and gained weight" etc) What are your thoughts?

I honestly saw a commercial for a weight-loss pill that said "Obesity is NOT YOUR FAULT. It's a MEDICAL CONDITION" All I could think was, "What the hell? There's a Big Mac virus?" How can you call Obesity a medical condition? It's a personal choice to sit on your ass, eat food lacking proper nutrition, and never exercise. What is with the lack of responsibility? Doctors telling people it's not their fault they're 100 lbs overweight, AA telling people Alchoholism is a disease (you CHOSE to drink the stuff... YOU have to CHOOSE not to)... no one takes responsibility for their own actions anymore. It's sick.
