I would think it would go against their religious beliefs, but then , I would think molesting a child did as well and some dont seem to have a problem with that. Personally, I have nothing agaisnt gay marriages.

no!...why would you want hypocrites marrying you in the first place ...they would be looking down their noses at you and thinking your bloody sinners at the same time as pronouncing your man/man or wife/wife
-
No they should not!
-
Of course they should. If two christian LGBT people want to get married, and they find a clergyperson who will perform the ceremony, what is the problem? With regards to the bible, have you eaten shellfish lately? Worn mixed clothing? Do you ban your wife from the house while she is menstruating? If you're not prepared to follow ALL the arcane rules in Leviticus, then don't foist the ones you selectively pick and choose on us! Either apply all the rules, or none of them - or else you're a hypocrite.

Priests are mandated to follow the doctine of the church. If the church redefines its doctrine and allows for gay marriage, then yes, a priest can and should perform ceremonies. Not all priests and religious leaders take the Bible as the literal word of God. Like the Constitution, it's open to interpretation.

if they wish to suuuure, tho not to many christian gay guys. there are alot of unorthodox churches of any faiths that do follow the absurd closeminded doctrines, or rules.
-
No. Homosexuality is against the Bible. In Christianity, marriage is reserved for a man and a woman. Even if the couple in question is "Christian", they cannot be married by a Christian priest without it being a flaming blasphemy.
-
I assume it would go against their religious beliefs, but I'm not going to tell any person or priest how to practice their religion - I think that's a personal thing - so if they do or don't want to perform gay marriages, it's their choice.

First off, the Bible condemns sexual practices associated with idolatry, not anything that would be recognized today as a stable, monogamous relationship. Second, churches have their own guidelines in what their clergy are and are not permitted to do. Some churches sanctify gay unions, some do not. That has nothing to do with the civil, secular matter of having a marriage license - which is granted by the county, not a church. As marriage equality increasingly becomes the status quo, that's not going to change anything for churches. They have been, are, and will continue to be free to discriminate as much as they see fit.

if marriage is legalized NOOOO!! christian, catholic priest shouldnt be performing gay marriages, God words is Men and Women!.. they already got enough on gettin married by law...
-
It should be up to the priest or his congregation...and I know what the Bible says too. I believe if ANYONE wants to get married regardless of their creed, race, age or orientation or any other reason...as long as a government agency controls the licences then they are bound by law to issue the licence or they are not treating ALL persons EQUALLY!
