  • I think a lot of people either take their rights for granted, or have given up having any. In the US what I've observed is that people seem to willingly give up their rights and allow the government to make personal and moral decisions for them - allowing censorship for example so they don't have to teach their children or police them. Let the government do it. They don't realize that by doing so they are giving up their own right to decide things. Government = parent! This is a far cry from the vision of the founders, and it's shameful. The Declaration of Human Rights is a beautiful document that brings me to tears to read. Here's a link if anyone is interested, http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html
  • too much fine prints.
  • Who cares? The UN DHR makes everything a right. It dilutes what a right really is. AND it states all rights are granted by the government (in this case the UN) and can be taken away whenever they see fit. I don't care about that type of declaration.
