Basil also likes warm weather and will not do well if the weather turns cold. A good temperature to grow your basil is no less than 60 degrees farenheit.
  • Is there any leaf showing or budding? It may be dead. I would prune it back severely. You live in California, why would you even bring it in? Yes, I know, I am thinking like a Minnesotan.
