  • Satanism is an atheistic religion/philosophy founded by Anton LaVey in 1966. It is basically the belief that you are your own god, and should worship yourself, if anything. And contrary to popular belief, Satanists do not worship Satan. Satanists don't really "do" anything. Although, there is a church, and a few Satanic rituals.
  • For the most part satanists believe in indulging in what they want and a respecting yourself and others (in its own unique way)
  • I could explain, but Peter H. Gilmore does such a better job.
  • I'm a Satanist. We are here to advance the Human Race, spiritually. We're here to free people's minds and prove to the people that the popular religions are false, and spiritually detrimental to the individual and society as a whole. We are here to enjoy pleasurable experiences without feeling guilty while being responsible. We are here to take care of our planet earth and look out for the greater purpose of man. We are here to reestablish the reputations of Satan and the Demons who work with him as the true helpers of man. We are here to open people's minds to the truth of extraterrestrials on planet earth and their influence on man kind. We are not anything like what most people believe us to be. We care about children, we do not condone illegal activities, we care about animals, and we are responsible. We encourage life to the fullest and respect for what is good. We are encouraged to think freely. We are the future. Joyofsatan.org luciferianliberationfront.org
  • Satanism is various religious belief systems based upon a being or concept of 'Satan'. Satan is often perceived as a God (properly defined as a 'supernatural being'), or is a spiritual concept without entity other than the self. Satanism is often found in philosophy as well. Certainly Satanism is a very broad category, unspecified 'Satanism' could be anyone doing any religious practices involving any sort of Satan. I am a Satanist, and have always been. Those who wonder what Satanism means should comprehend it is significant to the individual, not society. Satanism is a wide religious category, and thus answers of what it 'exactly is' could only be from individual perspectives. There is no set pattern which masses follow if they choose Satanism as the faith of choice.
