How old were you when you had your first child? Do you think it was an appropriate age, or would have you preferred to wait a bit longer, or have sped things up? :)

I was 28..at the time I was one of the "older" moms among my group of friends..but now, in the days when 40- and 50-year-old women are having babies and even some in their 60's for goodness sakes..I guess I was a youngster. It worked out just fine for me. I don't understand why people would wait so long..but each person has to figure it out for herself. :)

There are pro's and cons to having children early, and each situation differs from family to family. I had my first baby when I was only 18, at the time very daunting. It was a decision I made to 'keep' the baby and now when I look at my adult kids I would not have it any other way. I am not sure that I could cope with toddler tantrums and teenage rebellion these days!

i was 20 when i had my first child i wish i wouldhave had sped it up if i had the chance to do it over again i wouldhave had my first child at 14.

I was 30, most of my friends all had children, so I was very very late to the baby race. I wish many many times I would have been lots younger.
