Either one

My perspective, I take it to mean where do I currently call home. Keep in mind I travel a lot, so I'll be in another city, and people ask me "where are you from" quite often.
-
this is actually quite tricky being born in one country and having lived most of my life in another. I think it's where you feel is home, but that could be more than one place.
-
I would normally take it to mean where was I born and/or brought up, although the context of the question could give a hint if it meant where do I live.
-
First, who are you arguing with? Second what is "Pleas?" Third, in my opinion it means "Where were you born?" What I would say if asked that question, "I was born and raised in the best country in the world, the United States"
-
It could really be either, or more. The answer could be "I came from the kitchen" The context of the question is a little of for that answer, but it could still work.
-
Where do you live.
-
I think it depends on where you've stayed for the longest period of time. I was born in Southern California, but I don't say I'm from there. I say I'm from Northern California, because that's where I grew up and have spent the past 17 out of 21 years of my life. However, I lived in Portland for a year, and said I was from Northern California.
-
It means where you were raised, where your roots were originally from.
-
For me it means "Where were you born?" :)
