Peanut Butter is a great source of protein, as long as it's not the kind that's loaded with sugar. Eating healthy is very much about balance. You can't just survive off of peanut butter, because your body needs carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other things to keep it functioning properly. You need to make sure you get enough fruits, veggies, fats (yes, you need a certain amount of lipids), grains, and dairy products.

Like Ender said - peanut butter is great for protein. But no, you can't eat it all day, every day. You can't eat ANYTHING all day every day and have it be healthy. You need a balance of healthy foods in your diet. Lean protein, whole grains, lots of veggies and fruits. Peanut butter can definitely be a PART of a healthy diet, but it's not a healthy diet all on it's own.

I don't know about peanut butter, but peanuts are healthy. That is, unsalted. Do not make the mistake of thinking that fat is bad for you. It isn't. Fat is, quite the opposite, necessary. There is acctually no scientific basis for the general concensus that fat, not even bad fat, makes you fat. On the other hand, if you only eat peanut butter, that's not good. A versitile diet is the best. Peanuts, or any nut, is basically fat only. And they are healthy.
