Lately i have been noticing these bumper stickers that read, "eat a lime!" do you know if they are making an allusion? if so, what are they alluding to?

No, I haven't, but eating a lime is a great thing. I just planted a lime tree in my back yard. I hope to be eating lots by next year.

I am pretty sure the eat a lime fad is from the pirate influx so it means to feign off scurvy
