yeah its not legal if you know minors are viewing you, so you should make a reasonable attempt to not let that happen.

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems unlikely you would be prosecuted merely because a minor viewed you on a webcam. What are you supposed to do, shut it down on the off-chance that a minor could find it?

I found out during the fact a 14 year old is watching. I'm a government employee too. I suppose the odds are way against my getting in trouble, but I sure would like to know the law's actual position on the matter.

Just like with porn sites, you need to take precautions to prevent minors from viewing something innapropriate if you are broadcasting it. But it can be as simple as a writen warning or a pop-up box that says the following is adult material. And if you KNOW a minor is watching you should make them leave.

Haven't you ever watched Dateline NBC with Chris Hansen? They are being prosecuted every day for soliciting sex or pornographic material to minors. It is a FELONY, and yes they do prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. The first offense carries a punishment of 6 months in jail, depending on the severity, I have seen up to four years in prison. I'm sure there are longer sentences, ESPECIALLY if they confiscate your computer and found that you were actually coming HERE and asking if it was illegal, and then doing it anyway. You will be labled a sex offender and entered into the national sex offender database, and then you can't live within 1000 feet of a school or daycare center, and you'll have to update your address every year in case you've moved. You DO NOT want to get caught doing such vile acts, especially if it is MY Kid who happens to arrive at a site or chat where you are exposing yourself...It would be a really bad day for you.

Yes it is illegal and if you are continuing to perform knowing that a minor is viewing the chance somebody recognises you and the authories and your employers are informed could increase. Your career and life will be ruined. I have nothing against your sexual preferences but NOT for children. If you wish to perform for an audience, do it on a porn site or at least somewhere where children cannot have access to your actions

DUDE IT'S SO ILLEGAL to have minors viewing you on your webcam doing stuff that you shouldn't be doing. Hell I was being nice to a bunch of kids and now they are saying that I sexually molested them when I didn't and I have NO way of showing prove that I didn't do it.
