  • "Hinduism" is the name given by the outsiders for the way of life spiritual or otherwise, practiced by the people living by the side of Sindhu (River Indus). Entire social, cultural and spiritual life of the people living in South east Asia and beyond has been based and influenced by Hindu Dharma. Other Religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism also have great influence of the Hindu Dharma. It is the strength of Hinduism that allows free thinking and acceptance of change. The basic aim of a Hindu is to realise the "truth". It accepts that various paths are like rivers to reach the same sea (truth). Hinduism is based on eternal truth enunciated in "Vedas",ancient books of knowledge. They contain from simple rules of day to day life to highest Spiritual practices.
